Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying

To apply, you’ll need the equivalent of 4 GCSEs at Grades 2 to 1, including
English and Maths at Level 1 or higher.

You will learn through practical lessons in the workshops. Assessment will be through completing a portfolio of work, practical observations, written work and online tests.

On successful completion you could progress onto our Onsite Construction T Level. Alternatively, you could seek employment within the industry (you may need to gain a CSCS Card first).

There are no fees for this course if you are under 18.

Dedicated Work Experience opportunities are supported by our Industry Liaison Officer, who will find opportunities that are right for you. These will give you key experiences ready for your future. You will also be encouraged to take part in local and national skills competitions.

Throughout the year, students take part in regular industry relevant trips, these include construction site visits and warehouse tours allowing you to see the inner workings of the construction industry firsthand.

We also benefit our community by taking part in social action projects which help with development and skill progression, as well as making a difference locally.

You will be required to wear workshop PPE including steel toe cap boots.

As English and Maths are a key part of the course, you can learn these to GCSE or Functional Skills level alongside your studies.
