With extensive links with local employers, you will have the opportunity to listen to speakers, take part in relevant industry trips, such as to The Business Show at ExCel London, and undertake valuable work experience to develop your skills and kickstart your career in business.

Business offers a wide range of progression routes once you have completed your studies, including higher education, an apprenticeship, employment, or even starting your own business.

“I like that we get to go out and do actual field work. We’ve recently done a lot of analysis around shareholders and there’s been some interesting bits that I wouldn’t have known about, had I not done this course.

“The guest speakers are great because you get to know different entrepreneurs and business owners. A couple of weeks ago we had a guy who does digital marketing and that was really interesting because I’ve got quite a passion for it.”

“I’m enjoying that we get to learn a lot for the future, so we know how to use these skills to run our own businesses one day. We’ve touched upon many different areas such as marketing, data analytics and sales.

“I also enjoy doing the tasks because you get to do group work, and you get to work with your friends.”

“We took part in a project where we had to come up with, finalise, and pitch our own new coffee brand which was really good. We went to EKC Canterbury College for the final pitches, which was nerve-wracking but exciting at the same time. We spent so many hours on each section leading up to the pitches.”
