Students’ Union

The Students’ Union at EKC Folkestone College is home to the College’s clubs and societies, and organises a wide range of exciting trips and events for all our students.

When you join EKC Folkestone College, you automatically become a member of the Students’ Union.

The Students’ Union represents your voice and is there to ensure your College experience is the best it can be.

What can the SU do for you?

  • Give you access to student discounts and schemes that can help you save money
  • Organise trips to theme parks, concerts, theatre shows and more. All students get a say in the trips they would like to see run at their College
  • Run large campaigns to raise awareness about issues that matter to you
  • Set up a range of clubs and societies
  • Create a democratic society where you can vote for your Students’ Union President and Officers to represent you
  • Help you voice your thoughts on College life.

Sidonie Carey-Green

Student Experience Officer

Sidonie is the Student Experience Officer for EKC Folkestone College, and she is here to support you and your needs. In her role, she also oversees the Students’ Union and plans enrichment, events and trips throughout the year.

You can find her in the reception area with Student Services, or she can be found in our student centre to answer your queries and listen to your feedback.

Her advice to a new student?

“Make the most of your student experience, when I was a student I always found that the best thing to do was take part in everything that is going on. That was where I found the most amazing friends and really found my place at College and University, so really get stuck in!”

Explore new places and make new friends on a range of exciting trips and organise your own activites.

Our Students’ Union organise our annual Student Awards, and Benjamin was this year’s Student of the Year!
