Where could a Business T Level take you?

Choosing what to do after College is a big decision, but a T Level in Business Management and Administration opens the door to a wide range of opportunities. Whether your ambition is to continue your studies at university, begin an apprenticeship or step straight into employment, the knowledge and skills you develop can take you in many different directions.

This year, our cohort of T Level learners are progressing into exciting new opportunities that reflect the flexibility of studying a Business qualification. Here are just a few of the routes they’re taking:

Progress to university

For some learners, the next step is higher education, building on the business knowledge they’ve developed throughout the course.

Lexie and Matteo will both be progressing to the University of Kent. Lexi is off to study Business Analytics, developing the analytical and decision-making skills that are increasingly valued across a range of industries. Whilst Matteo will be completing a Business Psychology degree, combining business with an understanding of human behaviour and workplace performance.

Do an Apprenticeship

For others, gaining experience in the workplace is the priority. The skills gained through a Business T Level prepare learners for a variety of sectors, making apprenticeships an excellent route for those ready to earn while they learn.

Just like Will, who will be starting a Police Constable Apprenticeship, applying the communication, organisation and problem-solving skills developed during his studies in a completely different professional environment.

Build a career in business

Not every learner follows the same path, and that’s one of the strengths of studying business. Some learners are ready to step into the world of work to build their career after College.

After being inspired during her work placement with Burnap + Abel, Mollie is aiming to start building a career in estate agency, whilst Liam is working towards a Lower Management Training programme in retail, taking his part-time job to a professional starting point.

Take time to decide

Progression doesn’t always have to mean jumping straight into university or a new job. For some learners, taking a gap year provides the opportunity to gain life experience, travel or reflect on their long-term goals before committing to their next step.

Emily is taking that exact approach, with plans to spend time in Australia before deciding where her future career will take her. Whatever that may look like, for now taking time to explore different experiences can be just as valuable as jumping straight into her ‘forever job’.
