As a Business student, you’ll dive into real projects, planning and hosting networking breakfasts, organising awards events, and pitching business ideas.
Former students presented their own coffee brand concepts to industry experts, boosting confidence, honing professional presentation skills, and experiencing what it’s like to pitch in a real situation.
During Community Week, our T Level Business Management and Administration students teamed up with our Junior College to run ‘FestFun’; a live marketplace event for Year 6 pupils from Churchill School.
The younger students worked in small teams to invent themes like ‘Circus De Clown’, ‘Military’, and ‘Sunglasses’, then designed, crafted and sold products and services at their own stalls.
“I like that we get to go out and do actual field work. We’ve done a lot of analysis and work around shareholders.
“The guest speakers are great because you get to know different entrepreneurs and business owners. We had Digital Marketers speak to us and that was really interesting because I’ve got quite a passion for it.”
Designed for students aged 16–19, a T Level combines 80% classroom-based learning with 20% work placement experience, with an exciting local employer.
By the time you complete a T Level, you will understand business in theory, but also have experienced it first-hand, leaving you well prepared for university, higher-level apprenticeships or skilled employment.
T Level students met former Mayor of Folkestone, Councillor Belinda Walker, who came into College to talk about governance and how she manages it.

Strong presentation skills are a core component of our Business courses, with our students having opportunities to pitch and present ideas throughout the year.
