EKC Folkestone College celebrates Level 3 Results Day success

Today marks an exciting moment for students at EKC Folkestone College as they collect their Level 3 results!

With many securing places at their chosen university, and others preparing to start full-time work or apprenticeships, there was a buzz across at College today as students found out their results.

Alfie studied Level 3 Diploma in Architecture, Interior and Urban Design at College and achieved a Merit.

Speaking about their journey at College, Alfie said it helped him find out what he wanted to do.

“College was really good and helpful, the tutors and the course helped me find my creative voice and what career path I wanted to do.” he said.

Alfie is set to study Product Design at Manchester Metropolitan University and wants to design computers, laptops and furniture.

Meanwhile, Elissa who studied T Level Early Years and Education is set to go to Canterbury Christ Church University to study Primary Education this September after achieving a Merit.
 
Elissa said: “I was so nervous and shaking when I came to collect my results today, but when I saw everyone I started jumping up and down because I was so ready to get my results. I’m glad me and my friends all came in together.

“My experience at college has been great. For me, the tutors have just made it amazing. I am going to miss my tutor so much, Sarah, she has made my college year. It’s such a nice environment and because it’s a smaller college it’s like a real community.”

Also celebrating was Mathew, who achieved a Distinction in Level 3 Game Development and Virtual Production and is now set to accept his offer at Canterbury Christ Church University to study Diagnostic Radiography.

“Overall, I’m going to miss college. It taught me adult life, I made new friends and I loved it.” they said.

We also spoke to Harry who studied T Level Onsite Construction and Management and received a Pass.

Harry said he was very happy with his result.

“I’m currently a Carpenter, and now I’ve got this qualification I plan to make my way into Construction Management later on.”
