The Salon

Train in our modern Salon, a professional space designed to inspire creativity and build confidence.

The Salon features dedicated hair and beauty areas, fully-equipped with professional products, tools, and treatment rooms to give you the experience you need to thrive in the industry.

Throughout the year, the Salon is open to the public, giving you the opportunity to work with real clients and practise a wide range of services, from styling, and colouring to manicures, skincare, and massage.

Level 3 Beauty Therapy

Leila was inspired to enter the Beauty industry thanks to her parents, with her Mum working as a Beauty Therapist and her Dad working as a Barber.

She had been looking forward to taking part KFE4Skills, as her first Beauty competition, and was very pleased to have received a Gold Medal.

How you apply for a course at EKC Folkestone College

Step 1 – Find a course you’re interested in

Explore our courses online and see the wide range of academic opportunities that are available to you.

You can make up to five applications across East Kent Colleges Group’s family of Colleges.

Step 2 – Apply

Click ‘Apply’ on your chosen course, and follow the steps on the application portal.

Early applications are strongly recommended, as they give you the best chance of securing a place on your chosen course.

Step 3 – Come to an applicant day

Come along to EKC Folkestone College to meet our team, explore our facilities and see if the course is right for you.

If you receive an offer, this must be accepted to secure your place on your chosen course.

Our courses aren’t just for school leavers, with part-time options available for those aged 19+.
