Course overview

Develop industry-specific and transferrable skills as you prepare for a technical and professional role within the construction industry.

This course is aimed at those wishing to further their construction education in construction management or a built environment related profession.

Course information

You will acquire the skills needed to successfully manage situations and problems of a technical, social and industrial nature. You will develop a wide range of analytical skills and knowledge in the built environment, sustainable construction methods and personal/professional skills.

The programme consists of eight modules including:

Year 1:

  • Building Construction
  • Personal Skills – Communication and Research
  • Safety in Construction
  • Refurbishment, Maintenance and Adaptation

Year 2:

  • Analytical Methods (Building)
  • Science and Materials
  • Construction Management
  • Management Applications or Building Construction

You will have access to a newly designed teaching space which hosts a range of the specialist equipment which includes access to specialist software.
